Welcome to the Jefferson-Scranton High School Student Council Site!
Student Council plays an important role in Jefferson-Scranton High School. Its main and constant goals are to help share students' ideas, interests, and concerns with the teachers and principal, to help the students raise funds for school wide projects, and to assist the community when they are in need of aid.
Mission Statement
The Student Council of Jefferson-Scranton High School holds and follows through on many strong responsibilities. Throughout all of these duties, it follows this main mission statement, taken from the Preamble of the Student Council Constitution:
“To form an organization capable of representing the ideas of good citizenship, government, and the best interests of the student body...foster[ing] a spirit of cooperation among students and staff members.”
Navigating the Site
This Student Council site is made up of a few major parts. On the About Us page, you can view more information about how the Council was founded and what we have accomplished since then, as well as what we continue to accomplish today. On the Events page, you can view the current and upcoming events that the Student Council will particpate in or sponsor (including important drives, activities, and projects), as well as photos from past events. As for the Officers page, you can view the current members of Student Council, arranged by grade and position. Finally, on the Contact page, you can send a message to the Student Council that we will bring up at our next meeting.
